Rendered Duck Fat

Maple Leaf Farms Rendered Duck Fat can be subsituted for any other fats or oils when a higher flavor profile is desired and its higher smoking point allows for better browning. It can be used in sauces, soups, stews, cassoulet or confit and and can even enhance flakiness in pastries and pie crusts. Best of all, it's lower in saturated fat than other meat and poultry fats.

Duck Fat Highlights:
• Duck fat is the closest to olive oil in its healthy properties.
• Duck fat is high in mono-unsaturated fat (the good fat) and low in polyunsaturated fat (the bad fat).
• No other animal fat comes close to duck fat in that regard.
